The Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD) is a 52-MGD municipal waste water treatment facility in North Andover, Massachusetts. The District provides employees a generous benefits package including competitive wages, sick, personal and vacation time and life, dental and health insurance. Additionally, the District offers a defined benefits retirement plan. GLSD is seeking to fill the following positions:

Senior Wastewater Operator – Salary Range: $28.40 – $32.65/hr.  Candidates shall possess a Grade 6 (or higher) Municipal Wastewater Operator License. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the daily operation of a wastewater treatment plant, including issuing tasks to operators assigned to his/her shift, ensuring plant compliance with the District’s regulatory requirements.  This position currently has twelve hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with a corresponding shift differential.

Wastewater Operator – Salary Range: $19.31 – $28.94/hr.  Candidates shall possess a Grade 4 (or higher) Municipal Wastewater Operator License. The chosen candidate will participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility as directed by the Senior Operator.  This position is scheduled for M-F 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a 10% pay differential.

For both positions, starting salary commensurate with experience.
